Hospice of the Sacred Heart will relocate its Wilkes-Barre administrative office and Moosic Center for Education to a large, modern and technology-ready space with offices and multipurpose rooms at 53 Glenmaura National Blvd. in Moosic.

The new space is on the first floor of the Cigna Building atop Montage Mountain.

The new location follows a decision to transition to a hybrid workplace for most administrative employees. Clinical, social, pastoral and bereavement services are not affected by the relocation, Hospice of the Sacred Heart announced in a news release.

“The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic requires that we work differently and apart as much as possible,” said Hospice of the Sacred Heart CEO Diane Baldi. “Most administrative employees will perform a majority of their daily duties remotely.”

The new location will have workstations, meeting rooms and multipurpose rooms for work and activities that cannot be performed remotely.

“The future of work is hybrid,” Baldi said. “I believe many health care organizations will adopt our new work plan in some form.”

Hospice of the Sacred Heart opened in 2003 and was located at 130 Wilkes-Barre Blvd. in Wilkes-Barre. Unprecedented growth occurred shortly afterward and the agency moved to 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, in 2007. It also operates a 10-bed inpatient unit at 100 William St., Dunmore.
