Wilkes-Barre,PA (January 30, 2020) – Hospice of the Sacred Heart is pleased to announce it has received a $3,000 grant from the PPL Foundation. These funds will support the emergency preparedness kits being assembled for at home patients.  

 

Each kit will contain a flashlight, bottled water, medication pouch, hand sanitizer, whistle and blanket. Checklists and personalized plans will also be included.

 

“This generous grant from the PPL Foundation will go a long way to help pay for emergency kits for our patients at home. Each kit will contain items that will provide peace of mind and security in the event of an emergency or disaster,”said Diane Baldi, CEO, Hospice of the Sacred Heart.

The PPL Foundation awards annual grants through a competitive application and review process.
